Hi Friends,
Its been a long time since i came here...but here i am...me kinda of little engaged with myself..trying to figure out what best i could do to keep my passion alive...was busy doing some courses related to financial education...kinda of still trying to educate my self on what and how how i could achieve my financial freedom...With so much encouragement from my fellow friends, I am here to post on this recipe that i made yesterday ....yeah Dum Aloo with gobi...slight variation to the normal dish i added gobi...Ok now with the recipe.
Ingredients-
2 cups of Baby potatoes or just normal potato cubes
Some Gobi florets
Some Gobi florets
salt to taste
1 tsp turmeric
3-4 cloves crushed
Pinch of Hing
2 Tbsp of oil
For Paste
3-4 byadgi or kaddi chillies for color
1 inch ginger
4-5 cloves of garlic
For Gravy
1 cup of thick curd
1 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp of jeera powder
1 tsp of fennel powder
Method
Heat oil in a kadai add crushed cloves ,hing and fry gobi and aloo till it gets a coat of golden color on both sides.
Remove the Gobi and aloo once done and add in the Chilli paste to the leftover oil.
Then add the curd beaten with all masalas.
Cook this till oil separates.
Then throw in the veggies and cover and slow cook for about 20 mins.
Garnish with some coriander leaves.
Hey Sudha, I not only relish the dishes that you make for us, but also believe that you have an amazing talent when it comes to bringing innovation in food. You surpass the conventional "methodical" approach and ardently experiment with your dishes, which is quite remarkable in itself. I can vouch for the fact that this was the best dum aloo that I have ever had in my life! Please pursue this dream of yours and see to yourself what magic you have in those hands :)
