Ada daa Adai...Dal chila (Dal Dosa)

Got some good Drumstick greens(murngai keerai)from the Indian store and tried out some unusual recipes..Made some kara kozambhu and remaining  i used for making Adai...and some i reserved for making ghee..for making ghee adding this greens at the end gives nice flavor.....The drumstick greens are slightly bitter with unique taste. The best part of Adai is no fermentation required. Adai can be made immediately after grinding the batter. These are rich source of iron too. Ok here i go with the recipe.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of Sprouted green mung beans or Urad dal
1/2 cup channa dal
1/2 cup masoor or toor dal
1/2 cup moon dal
1 Cup of Brown rice (Normal rice)
1/2 cup of Idli rice or Brown rice
1 inch of ginger
1 tsp of Jeera
4-5 dry red chilies

Method:

Soak all the Dal along with the rice over night( or at least 5 Hrs).

Grind Coarsely along with ginger and chilies and jeera.

Add the required salt to taste

Once the batter is ready Adai can be made by adding drumstick greens or onion or any other greens and veggies of your choice.

Note: This is a wholesome food which kids love to eat.The best condiment for this adai is jaggery and some mix veg Avial.
